Holidays are a great excuse to bake something for those I love, and Thanksgiving is just two weeks away! I'm starting to get ideas for things my family and friends might like and have been reflecting on things I baked in the past.

My go-to baked treat has always been chocolate chip cookies, but for holidays and birthdays, I like to try and do something different. About 10 years ago, I made Pumpkin cheesecake with gingersnap crust, and I'm thinking of doing it again this year with a pecan crust. It's a tasty alternative to traditional pumpkin pie that I think my family will enjoy.
